Tornado touches down near Chicago’s O’Hare airport amid severe weather warnings- TRENDY KHABAR
CHICAGO — A cyclone contacted down Wednesday night close to Chicago's O'Hare Worldwide Air terminal, inciting travelers to take cover and disturbing many flights. There were no quick reports of wounds.
An affirmed cyclone was on the ground around 7 p.m., as per the Public Weather conditions Administration in Chicago.
"This twister has been contacting the ground irregularly up to this point and is moving east. South of O'Hare, there are additional circulations along the line. If you're in the warned area, seek shelter, it advised. Before 8 p.m. the weather conditions administration said the Chicago figure region was "as of now twister advance notice free."
Hundreds of people taking cover in an O'Hare concourse were captured on television. According to FlightAware, a flight tracking service, approximately 166 flights were canceled and nearly 500 were delayed. Longtime Chicagoan Lynn Becker shared a video on Twitter of the sirens blaring across the city's iconic skyline.
He stated, "My options are somewhat limited because I’m in a 60-story apartment building." We need to, I expect, go into the center of the structure.
